Alumni Weekend Schedule: Thursday-Sunday

The weekend is almost upon us!

Again, this Alumni weekend will be unique in format and events because of the highly anticipated USA 7s Collegiate Championship Invitational running Friday-Sunday at Crew Stadium. With that in mind, here is a tentative weekend schedule.

As always, keep on your toes for last minute changes: Thursday: For those in town early head to the Sloppy Donkey (formerly Larrys) around 8pm on High St to meet other alumni and the current team to introduce yourselves and stretch for the weekend activites. Friday AM: 10am Shotgun Start at Phoenix for those golfing. Huge Golf Outing this year with 50 guys! Come by to visit even if you didnt sign up.

There will be downtime before the 7s games starts, and there is nothing set in stone. Some alumi have mentioned going to Varsity Club, but there is currently nothing organized at this time. Use it to shower and reconnect with the guys you want to meet up with.

Friday PM: Games start at Crew Stadium at 530pm. OSU vs Utah at 750 pm. Dont be late, games only last 15 minutes! Saturday AM: 10 AM games start at Crew Stadium, there is also a pre game social for everyone at Little Bar just north of lane on High St starting at 10 AM. OSU vs BGSU at 1 PM.

We will have a quick gathering following this game for any Alumni Weekend Updates and to discuss the Awards Presentation. OSU vs Penn State at 530 PM. Following games we will be headed to Varsity Club and then to tour Columbus. Sunday AM: Games start at 10 am, be ready to shake the rust off for one more day of rugby and debauchery! OSURFC went 4-0 this past weekend against Notre Dame and Chicago Lions mixed sides. They are looking real good at the right time! OSU Alumni tickets are still available for these 7s games.

We understand that ticket prices have come down recently, but realize our prices were non-negotiable, and that we agreed to the deal based on the fact that we are the home club on display, and that we need to show our strong Alumni base in an impressive, concerted effort. Having the tent and VIP seating along with meals each day is worth a little extra out of the pocket. Please consider our Alumni Society, the current Club, and The Clum by purchasing the OSU Alumni ticket package.
